Gregory Hutton has been named senior originator and executive director of Rabobank’s renewable energy and infrastructure finance (REIF) Americas group.

Based in New York, Hutton will be in charge of structuring, executing and monitoring project financings for the bank in the Americas region. He joins Rabobank from UniCredit’s New York team, where he was vice-president for project finance, focusing on the North American renewable energy and conventional power sectors.

Before UniCredit, Hutton held a vice-president position in the energy group at HSH Nordbank, and worked in the project finance team of Dexia Credit Local.

Thomas Emmons, managing director and head of REIF in the Americas at Rabobank, says: “Greg’s considerable experience in energy project finance will be a valuable asset as we continue to grow our business.”

Since mid 2009, the REIF-Americas team has closed over 40 financings in the US and Canada, acting typically as lead arranger.
