Second FCI Regional Conference & Workshop on Factoring in Middle East

February 21, 2018 | Dubai

FCI, the Global Association for Open Account Receivables Financing & Factoring will organize its second regional Conference on Factoring in the Middle East in Dubai on 21 February 2018.

The theme of the meeting is “Boosting SME Finance through Innovative Factoring Products”. The one day event will focus on two important new FCI initiatives in the open account space.

The first one is FCI reverse: this new platform creates for FCI members opportunities to diversify their traditional factoring activities and move into the “buyer-centric approved payables” reverse factoring area.

The second initiative is the “Sharia Compliant International Factoring framework”: this variation on the traditional two-factor scheme was prepared by FCI members and prospective members to allow Islamic Finance institutions to take part in international factoring activities based on FCI’s General Rules for International Factoring (GRIF).

The one day event is set up in such a way that participants will receive very practical information and ideas for their own business environment.

The date (21 February 2018) and place (Jumeira Emirates Towers) were chosen in concert with GTR who are organizing their GTR MENA Trade & Export Finance Week in the same hotel on 19-20 February, thus allowing participants to register for both events.

More information can be found on the FCI’s event page.
