John Luu has been named managing director and head of specialist sales for Lloyds’ transaction banking solutions arm.
Luu took up the role on June 1 and reports to Mansour Davarian, managing director and head of transaction banking solutions.
He is responsible for leading sales teams for a range of solutions, including asset finance, invoice finance, commodity trade finance and export credit agencies.
Luu is currently an honorary senior visiting fellow at Bayes Business School in London. Before that, he led the trade, export finance and working capital teams for the UK and Middle East at Santander CIB.
He has also served as senior vice-president of origination at inventory and supply chain specialist company Benteler, and spent six years at Greensill from 2015 to 2021.
Other positions include senior roles at JP Morgan and Citi, as well as a stint as a management consultant for both government and corporates.
