RBS has hired Louis Robinson as trade finance sales head for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (Emea) region.

This is the second time that Robinson has worked for RBS in the space of a year, acting as trade finance sales head for Northern Europe in his previous term at the bank.

In this newly created role, Louis will join the RBS global transaction services (GTS) business, responsible for leading the GTS Emea trade finance sales team as well as providing business development opportunities, cross-selling to clients and seeking growth opportunities within the Emea region.

He will be based in London and will report to head of Emea for GTS, Anne Boden.

Robinson has over two decades’ experience, including seven years at ABN Amro as head of a Northern European trade finance team.
Most recently, Robinson served at National Bank of Abu Dhabi on the trade finance sales team.

An RBS spokesperson tells GTR: “Although Louis had been very successful in his previous role, doubling trade revenues in a short space of time, he felt the opportunity to rejoin a global bank such as RBS as Emea trade sales head was too big an opportunity to miss.”
