Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ has appointed Michael Hogan in the newly-created role of regional head of transaction banking sales, Emea.

Starting May 1, 2015, Hogan will lead the coverage of the transaction banking business, specifically in sales across the Emea region.

Based in London, he will be responsible for maintaining and developing client business across multinational and large local corporates, setting sales goals and direction for the strategic and profitable expansion of the regional transaction banking business in the region. He will report to Tetsuya Hirano, general manager and regional head of transaction banking, Emea.

Hogan joins from National Australia Bank (NAB), where he was head of trade for Asia. Before that he worked for Standard Chartered for 17 years in cash and trade, and as a member of the business leadership teams.

The bank recently made a similar appointment in Asia with Ken Stratton, who joined on April 6, 2015 as general manager and regional head of transaction banking sales, Asian transaction banking office – another newly-created role.
