BNY Mellon has established a new treasury services sales team led by Emea sales manager Colin Robertson.

Robertson joined BNY Mellon in 2002 and was most recently relationship and sales manager for Northern, Central and Eastern Europe. With 30 years of experience in international financial services, he will lead the team responsible for the firm’s regional business acquisition.

Robertson will be joined by Mauro Bonacina and Daniela Eder as Emea sales officers.

Bonacina was most recently BNY Mellon’s relationship and sales officer for Southern Europe. Before joining the firm in 2004, he held the position of head of international relations at an Italian bank, and was in charge of its trade finance segment, working with financial institutions, corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises. Bonacina will take particular responsibility for trade and supply chain finance solutions.

Eder joined the sales and relationship management arm of BNY Mellon’s treasury services business in May 2009 as relationship and sales officer for the German and Swiss markets. Since beginning her career in financial services at American Express Bank, she has held various roles in treasury services, network management and global operations, both in Germany and the US.

“I am delighted to welcome Colin, Mauro and Dany into their new roles,” says Dominic Broom, Emea head of sales and relationship management for BNY Mellon treasury services. “In recent years, we have significantly increased the range of clients we do business within Emea. Given their extensive experience, the new team will play a key part in building upon these achievements, in order to take our programme to new levels, especially with respect to client focus.”
