Paul Fennell has stepped into the shoes of Conor O”Dowd at American Express Bank in London. Fennell was formerly a member of the bank’s trade services team in Poole, Dorset. O”Dowd left as a director of trade asset sales after 12 years at Amex, where most recently he was responsible for syndications and the placement of loan and trade assets in the secondary market. He joined JPMorgan Chase in London in September 2002 as regional head of global trade asset distribution in the EMEA region (see GTR, Sept/Oct 2002, p4). Fennell meanwhile has 11 years trade experience, nine of them at Amex. He reports to Philip Wakefield, global head of trade distribution and syndicated loans. Rita Yeo replaced O”Dowd at Amex, relocating from the bank’s Singapore branch.
