Spacecom, the Israeli satellite manufacturer, has secured loans worth US$293mn for a future project.

The finance will cover the construction, launch, insurance and financing costs of Amos-6, a five-tonne earth satellite.

The finance will primarily come from the Canadian and US export credit agencies, with EDC contributing US$140mn, US Exim contributing US$106mn. The remaining US$47mn will come from Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI).
