London Forfaiting Company’s administration and documentation department (ADD) recently acquired the first ever ISO 9001:2000 certification to be awarded to a forfaiting business.

The exacting standards required for the ISO 9001:2000 Certification of Quality Management Systems (QMS) involved an independent audit of the ADD’s business processes covering all of the individual tasks undertaken by the department.

The QMS implemented by the department focuses on customer satisfaction, quality assurance and continual improvement to deliver a better service to LFC’s customers.

The effectiveness of the QMS is monitored through a process of internal auditing, client feedback and regular management reviews.

This accolade comes less than two years after LFC made the decision to establish a newly formed documentation unit in Malta following the acquisition of the company by FIMBank, the Malta-based international banking group. According to Lorna Pillow who heads the local ADD operations “the certificate is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the whole team”.
