Intesa Soditic has hired a new trader Sunita Mehta, adding to its already expanding front office team.

Mehta joins the London-based forfaiting house after having worked for three and a half years at WestLB in London, where she worked as part of the bank’s forfaiting department in operations and documentations.

At Intesa, she joins Goretti Lote (ex-ICBC London) and Siddarth Rupani (ex-ICICI), both hired towards the end of 2009. Mehta reports directly to the firm’s general manager Edmondo de Picciotto.

Earlier this year, Intesa also hired John Gray (ex-WestLB) as the new head of operations.

“We are very glad to welcome Sunita to Intesa Soditic,” de Picciotto tells GTR.

“I am sure she will be very valuable to the company and that she will help to develop the business thanks to her previous experiences in the operations department and very high motivation.”

Intesa Soditic was established in 1997, and Italy’s Banca Intesa has a 50% stake in the trading house.
