Catherine Low joined the Singapore branch of ING Bank NV on August 28 as its head of trade and commodity finance. She replaces Wong Chin Aun and reports to Willem Toren, managing director and regional head of international trade and export finance. Low will be responsible for further growing the bank’s trade and commodity finance portfolio. Her focus will cover the spectrum of commodity flows into or out of the Southeast Asia/Asia Pacific region, including hydrocarbons, hard and soft commodities.

She brings with her over 15 years of banking experience. Before joining ING, Low held various senior positions in commodity financing in international European banks, most recently including Standard Chartered where she was the head of structured trade finance for South Asia, RZB, where she was the managing director of commodity finance for South Asia, as well as BNP Paribas and MeesPierson (now Fortis Bank).
