Iran has inked new memorandum of understandings (MoUs) with three international export credit agencies (ECAs).

The country’s own ECA, Export Guarantee Fund of Iran (EGFI), has signed agreements with the Indian ECGC, the Swedish EKN and the Austrian OeKB.

These MoUs are aimed at supporting trade and investment between the countries through co-operation between EGFI and the counterparty ECA, including co-insurance and/or reinsurance schemes for projects in both countries.

EGFI has recently signed similar types of MoUs with ECAs in various countries including Armenia, Kazakhstan, New Zealand and the UK.
