Export-Import Bank of India has announced the appointment of two new executive directors, SR Rao and N Shankar. Before their appointments both men were chief general managers in the bank.

Rao was handling a wide range of functions including corporate affairs, information technology, export services and human resource management at the bank’s headquarters in Mumbai. He joined India Exim in March 1983 and has been closely associated with several of the bank’s lending and service programmes, particularly in the area of project financing.

He has served in various capacities, including as bank’s representative in Washington DC and New Delhi.

Shankar was handling the corporate finance group at the bank. He is a certified associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers and has three decades of experience in financial sector comprising six years in commercial banks and 24 years in India Exim.

Shankar, is a chartered financial analyst from ICFAI, and his specialisation and experience encompass international finance, integrated treasury, fund management, risk management, MIS, credit administration and corporate accounts.
