Denton Wilde Sapte’s trade finance practice has been consolidated with the promotion of two solicitors to the firm’s partnership.

Simon Cook and Jonathan Solomon have been appointed as partners “in recognition of their excellent work within the team”.

Cook has been working at Denton Wilde Sapte since 1995, and has worked in a range of advisory roles, including acting for agents, arrangers or lenders to pre-export, trade and structured trade finance facilities, dealing in the related security aspects, and working on documentary credit issues.

Solomon joined the firm 10 years ago, and has extensive experience in advising lenders and borrowers on all forms of commodity financings for soft and hard commodities. His work covers the firm’s emerging market sectors such as the CIS, Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East.
