Fintech company TradeSun has hired Devan Conness as regional sales director for North America.

In the Chicago-based role, Conness will lead sales strategy and activities across the North American market, including building client and partner relationships and overseeing a team of regional business development managers.

Conness joins the firm from Euromonitor International, where she was a research analyst with a focus on drinks, tobacco and cannabis.

Previous roles include business development manager for the Americas at Invest Northern Ireland, in addition to working with a number of different businesses to support and expand their growth in target export markets.

“Devan’s analytical skills, expertise in executing sales strategies, and ability to foster relationships with clients and partners will serve her well in this role,” says TradeSun chief executive and founder Nigel Hook.

“I am ecstatic to be joining TradeSun,” Conness says, adding that her role will see her working alongside the North America team “to provide industry-leading trade digitalisation solutions to clients and advance sustainable trade through automated ESG scoring”.

Conness joins a number of recent hires at TradeSun across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific regions.

These include Ian Laverty as chief revenue officer and Amy Chestnutt as head of ESG product and regional sales director for Europe, both of whom share a background at Invest Northern Ireland.

Other appointments include Lloyd Parata as senior sales director for Asia Pacific and the promotion of Janna Baer to chief client officer.
