Baft-Ifsa has appointed Stacey Facter as senior vice-president, trade services.

She joins the international financial services association after over 30 years of working in the commercial banking sector, covering all areas of trade finance. She was most recently executive director, global trade operating risk management at JP Morgan.

In her new role, she will support some of Baft-Ifsa’s committee and leadership groups, including its Global Trade Industry Council, which is made up of global heads of trade and the London Group, an organisation dedicated to promote trade finance as a distributable asset.

Rita Gonzalez, chair at Baft-Ifsa and managing director at HSBC, says: “We are very pleased that Stacey is joining us, she will play a key role in supporting our members and the industry with her strong international background and experience at a critical time when the global relevance of trade in fostering economic growth is so important.”
