International law firm Stephenson Harwood has hired leading project finance and banking partner, Natalie Elphicke, to its finance team.

Elphicke joins from Addleshaw Goddard, where she was partner in the structured and specialised finance team. Before that she was partner at Denton Wilde Sapte for four years.

Elphicke has extensive experience in project finance.

Stephenson Harwood’s head of finance, Mark Russell, comments: “Project finance is a rapidly growing source of work for us. Elphicke’s enviable track record on high-value project finance transactions and in projects more generally coupled with the firm’s existing projects, transportation and infrastructure practices, firmly positions Stephenson Harwood as top contenders for projects work both in the UK and abroad.”

Elphicke says: “Clients increasingly have an appetite for cross-border and overseas project work and Stephenson Harwood’s strong international network and global reputation will enable me to seek opportunities both in the UK and abroad.”

Elphicke’s appointment follows that of Clare McConnell, who was hired as head of projects in February 2009.
