Rodrigo Boulos has been appointed as HSBC’s head of sales for trade and receivables finance for the West Coast, based in San Francisco.

He moves internally from Dubai, where he was in charge of trade and receivables finance sales for HSBC commercial banking in the UAE.

In his new role, Boulos will lead a team responsible for structuring and co-ordinating trade-related working capital solutions for American tech giants and startups, manufacturers and garment firms.

Boulos, originally from Brazil, joined HSBC in São Paulo in 2013, before moving to Dubai in 2015. He previously worked in investment banking and treasury for a range of banks and firms in Brazil, including Pine Corporate Bank, Banif Banco de Investimento and Standard Bank, and has also worked as an independent consultant.
