Two banking experts are joining the ranks of the National Bank of Abu Dhabi’s (NBAD) European operations.

Isabelle Kreig and David Ringer have taken up positions as trade finance managers in the Paris and London branches respectively.

Both will be tasked with developing the bank’s trade finance business originated by their respective markets.

Kreig comes to the bank with almost 25 years of experience in the financial service industry, including 10 years in trade finance.

Before joining the Paris branch she spent four years as senior trade finance manager at Fortis Bank, as well as time spent serving at HSBC and CIC Paris.

Ringer brings more than 15 years’ experience in trade finance to his role after joining the bank from SMBC Europe where he was senior manager in the trade solutions and export finance group.

“The recruitment of Ringer and Kreig reflects NBAD’s commitment to developing the trade finance business in Europe,” notes Jeff Fallon, head of trade finance Europe.

“David and Isabelle bring to NBAD their years of experience and contacts in the industry and, above all, their drive and motivation. We welcome them aboard and look forward to their contribution to our ongoing success in Europe,” he adds.

The London appointment comes after trade finance specialist Louis Robinson left NBAD to return to a role at RBS as a trade sales head for the Emea region.
