Insurance firm Miller has added two members to its marine hill team.

Heather Clarkson has joined from Aon, where she was most recently executive director, head of broking, responsible for business production in North America and South America. While Miller doesn’t give its staff job titles, Clarkson will be responsible for business production, broking and account handling.

She has 30 years’ experience in placing cover for tankers, offshore oil supply, crew and support vessels, passenger ferries and cruise ships.

Kerr is a specialist in marine hull and ancillary business production, as well as account handling. He also joins from Aon, where he was most recently head of hull client management in the marine team.

He has 25 years’ industry experience, mainly working with North American offshore supply, tanker and cruise operating clients.
Both new hires will report to Andrew Miller, head of hull, and will be based in London.

Miller says: “Heather and Rick have extensive experience of working with high-value and complex marine hull risks. They are excellent additions to our team and will make a significant contribution to our development plans.”
