Insurance broker Lockton has named David Callis as vice-president and producer. Based in Washington, DC, Callis will work closely with Lockton’s current and prospective clients on international risk issues in the Middle East, Sub-Saharan Africa and South America.

“As companies and their supply chains become more exposed to international issues, David’s experience will be a great asset to our clients,” says Len Gemma, chief operating officer of Lockton’s Washington, DC operation, adding: “He will be able to provide invaluable advice and guidance on the nuances of working in developing countries.”

Before joining Lockton in March, Callis had been working for almost five years as an associate at Rutherfoord International, where, according to his LinkedIn profile, he established the company’s political risk and structured credit practice, and later launched another specialty risk unit advising US military contractors operating in frontier markets
