Lloyds Bank has appointed Gwynne Master as managing director and head of trade within its global transaction banking (GTB) business.

Based in London, Master initially joined the bank in February as managing director of GTB sales for financial institutions (FIs) and non-bank FIs. She made the move to Lloyds Bank from Standard Chartered, where she headed up the Europe and Americas FI business.

Master spent her early career as a coverage banker and in FI leadership roles across the Americas, Europe and Asia. Most of her work life has been spent in Asia – initially with Wells Fargo and later Barclays, where she developed a regional hub in Singapore and led the bank’s Asia FI expansion.

Like Master’s first position with Lloyds Bank, this is a new role for the bank.
