Komgo has hired a former head of trade finance at Siemens Healthineers to lead its sales and marketing efforts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Milan Kalajdžić joined the fintech this month as sales lead for the Dach region, after almost eight years at the medical equipment manufacturer.

Kalajdžić is based in Nuremberg and reports to Komgo chief revenue officer Baptiste Audren.

The fintech said Kalajdžić built Siemens Healthineer’s trade finance function “from the ground up” and was responsible for implementing the company’s use of GTK, Komgo’s digital trade finance platform.

He previously held project and export finance roles at Siemens Financial Services and UniCredit.

He replaces Olga Schwarzkopf, who is moving to a commercial development role in the Americas.

Tim Bachinger succeeds Kalajdžić as head of trade finance at Siemens Healthineers, according to a LinkedIn post. Bachinger was previously the firm’s head of global guaranty management.
