Singapore-based consultancy firm Kairos Risk Solutions has hired former insurance and banking industry executive Albert Lim as managing director for Southeast Asia.

Lim, who starts with immediate effect, is primarily responsible for structuring bespoke credit and surety risk solutions for clients including banks, non-bank financial institutions, insurers, as well as brokers.

He will continue to be based in Singapore and reports to Kairos Risk Solutions chair, Chai Chiap Fam.

“Albert’s reputation as one of the most experienced senior executives in the trade credit and surety risk management space, will greatly enhance our ability to develop meaningful risk solutions for our clients in the region,” says Chiap Fam.

In a career spanning over three decades, Lim has previously held senior trade credit, political risk and surety roles at a clutch of banks and insurance companies, including Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, Standard Chartered and QBE Insurance.

In his most recent post, Lim led trade risk distribution at Greenlink Digital Bank, a trade and supply chain finance provider that has targeted micro, small and medium-sized companies since launching in 2022.

Kairos is a risk consultancy with operational presence in Singapore and Shanghai. The firm develops products for various insurance markets including parametric, agriculture, trade credit and surety.
