HSBC has named William Nowicki as executive vice-president and head of trade and supply chain for North America. He succeeds James Hogan, who has taken another senior management position within HSBC North America’s commercial banking unit.

Based in New York City, Nowicki reports to Christopher Davies, senior executive vice-president and head of commercial banking for HSBC North America and functionally to Lawrence Webb, global head of trade services and supply chain.

In this role, Nowicki manages a team of bankers serving international corporations with trade and supply chain needs. The team provides a range of products and services, including open account solutions, trade finance, letters of credit, collections and confirmations.

Nowicki brings to HSBC more than 20 years of trade and supply chain experience. Before joining HSBC, he held a variety of senior positions at Citigroup, Standard Chartered and JPMorgan in New York and Singapore. Most recently, he was global head of trade and client delivery at Citigroup.
