Tony Chisholm and Mark Timoney have joined the bank in an effort to expand HSBC’s regional presence.

Chisholm joins as head of the sales team for the bank’s west coast trade and supply chain team.

Based in Los Angeles, Chisholm brings over 25 years of experience in international trade finance to the bank, most recently acting as executive director of global trade services at JP Morgan.

Steven Lotito, senior vice-president and head of sales for trade and supply chain for North America at HSBC, comments: “As a major trade corridor to Asia Pacific, the west coast has a significant number of businesses engaged in importing and exporting, which require trade and supply chain solutions to facilitate that activity.

“The addition of Tony to the sales team further strengthens our west coast presence and offers local businesses significant trade expertise to assist them with their importing and exporting needs.”

Timoney has been appointed head of trade and supply chain for the mid-Atlantic and southeast regions.

Based in New York, he will be responsible for managing trade sales for multinational clients in the resources and energy industries and financial institutions.

Timoney has more than 16 years’ experience in trade and supply chain finance, most recently working for ANZ in New York as the director of trade and supply chain.

“Mark’s expertise in all facets of trade and supply chain finance will enhance our strong mid-Atlantic and southeast sales team as well as support for multinationals and financial institutions,” adds Lotito.
