HSBC has appointed Beatriz Monteagudo to head its transaction management unit in Mexico, as part of the bank’s global trade and receivables finance (GTRF) business.

She joins from Rabobank, where she worked for nine years in Mexico and New York, first as credit, compliance and operations officer and later as collateral inspection officer.

At HSBC, she is responsible for collateral risk audits, development of controls and monitoring of collateral guarantees structures, monitoring of inventory collateral values, and developing global procedures for commodities and structure trade finance (CSTF) activities.

The appointment marks HSBC’s renewed focus on North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) members, after selling its Brazilian business to Banco Bradesco in June this year.
