HSBC has promoted Elton Lee to the new head of trade and supply chain to bolster its Greater China team.

Lee will be responsible for driving and managing HSBC Taiwan’s trade and supply chain business strategy for a range of companies, from multinational corporations to small businesses.

Lee has almost 25 years’ banking experience, having worked at HSBC since 1992 in several roles including corporate banking manager at HSBC Kaohsiung.

Most recently, Lee was senior vice-president and area business manager for business banking Taipei, where he was responsible for establishing the business banking team and implementing new strategies.

Christopher Lewis, head of trade and supply chain, Greater China at HSBC, says: “Elton’s expertise, gained over more than 18 years in various roles within HSBC across different cities in Taiwan and Mainland China, combined with the bank’s unmatched presence in this region will enable us to provide clients with the advisory services and guidance they require.”
