GTR can reveal that another of Standard Chartered’s Singapore-based global heads has resigned.

Roy Bennett has left his job as Standard Chartered’s global head of trade asset distribution.

Bennett has been at Standard Chartered for two years and was seen as integral to the success of the bank’s global trade distribution business.

Bennett is a veteran of emerging markets trade finance and has held a number of positions at international banks including Standard Bank, ING and WestLB over his 30-year career.

When GTR approached Bennett for comment he remained tight-lipped about the future.

However, another source close to the bank believes he became frustrated with the lack of investment in his business.

The resignation follows less than a month after Standard Chartered’s global head of corporate cash and trade Tan Kah Chye announced that he was moving to Barclays.
