Deutsche Bank has appointed Dave Fuentebella as head of global transaction banking and head of trade finance and cash management for corporates in the Philippines.

Based in Manila, he is responsible for overseeing the trade finance business in the Philippines as well as driving the strategic growth of the bank’s global transaction banking (GTB) business in the country.

In his role as head of trade finance and cash management for corporates, Fuentebella reports to Arnd Weckes, Asia Pacific head of global network banking. He also reports to Lisa Robins, Asia Pacific head of GTB in his role as head of GTB in the Philippines, and locally to Enrico Cruz, chief country officer for the Philippines.

He will also become a member of the executive committee and the asset liability management committee at Deutsche Bank Manila.

Before joining Deutsche Bank, Fuentebella held various corporate banking roles at Citi, Standard Chartered and Crédit Agricole.

Robins says: “This new appointment also underscores our strong focus on Asean countries, which will continue in 2013. We have high aspirations for our fast-growing business in this part of the region.”
