Citi has hired Seemanti Considine as financial institution (FI) sales head for the United Arab Emirates, based in Dubai.

In the newly created role, Considine is responsible for managing Citi’s portfolio of banks in the UAE across the breadth of its trade and treasury solutions (TTS) products, which include trade and working capital finance, as well as payments services.

She started last month and reports to Citi’s TTS Middle East and Africa FI sales head, Emre Umut.

Seemanti joins after a near four-year stint at Wio Bank, the UAE’s first stand-alone digital bank, which launched in 2022. Initially responsible for building the lender’s correspondent banking framework and back-office operations, she later became head of financial institutions and transaction banking.

Prior to this, Seemanti held senior roles at Emirates NBD during a seven-year period, including head of correspondent banking.

She also previously held various roles at UBS Investment Bank, where she worked for 13 years in the US and covered prime brokerage, collateral management, and asset and liability management.
