Chubb has appointed Irys See as senior political risks and credit underwriter for its Asia Pacific office in Singapore.

She replaces Victoria Soo, who has left for AXA XL. In her new role, See will be primarily underwriting the firm’s PRI and specialty credit book, and will also provide support for its trade credit business.

Prior to joining Chubb, See spent three and a half years at Aon as associate director of structured and capital solutions for Asia. Her previous experience also includes trade distribution at ANZ and a corporate sustainability role at HSBC.

“I’m thrilled to join the Chubb family, one of the leading and key insurers in the political risk and credit market, and to work alongside very experienced and professional colleagues in the team,” See tells GTR.

Speaking about See’s appointment, Sam Ladbury, regional manager, Asean and South Asia political risks and credit, says: “She is a much-needed addition to the team, given the flows we have been seeing and the year I expect us to have. The team is finally at full complement and it will ensure we can continue to service our existing clients, as well as look to build it across the region – to which Irys will of course be an integral part.”
