Adding to its recent hires, ANZ has hired three more staff to its global structured asset and export finance team.

Steven Mulder, Sonja Schoentag and Stephen Au have all joined the bank at senior level.

Mulder, who has been appointed director, structured asset and export finance, will be based in Singapore and responsible for the origination, structuring and execution of new export finance transactions.

Most recently he served as head of cross border structured finance, Australia for RBS, previously ABN Amro, in Sydney,

Schoentag has also been hired as director, structured asset and export finance, but will be responsible for supplier origination and specialist coverage of Germany, Austria and Switzerland’s export credit agencies.

She will remain based in London where until recently she worked at RBS in charge of expanding export finance business in the same countries she is now responsible for at ANZ.

Au is relocating to the bank’s Singapore offices from Melbourne, Australia where he worked in ANZ’s project and structured finance team.

Au will move into the role of senior manager, structure asset and export finance and will support the senior origination team.

“These new hires will provide greater origination and structuring ‘bench strength’ to our global structured asset and export finance team, as we grow the business to support our customers and ANZ’s super-regional growth strategy,” comments Vishnu Shahaney, managing director, specialised lending and loan product, Asia, Pacific, Europe and America.
