Tradepaq Corp, the provider of collaborative supply chain execution software and trade and risk management solutions for global commerce, has acquired the main assets of Lester Associates, Inc, a provider of commodity trading solutions to the metals and energy industries.

Terms of the transaction weren’t disclosed. For more than 18 years, Lester Associates marketed one of the leading commodity trading software solutions for the metals and energy industries called Commodity Position Management System (CPMS).
This acquisition strengthens Tradepaq’s position as the market leader in offering supply chain execution and commodity trading and risk management solutions for producers, traders and users in the metals industry.

Last year, Tradepaq acquired Vista Software Corp, another leading commodity trading software firm. With these acquisitions, Tradepaq now offers specific software solutions for the nonferrous, ferrous and precious metals industries.

CPMS’ functionality will become part of the company’s Tradepaq:TRM suite of trade and risk management software solutions.
