DBS Bank has joined banking association Baft-IFSA in a move to promote its transaction banking business globally.

Thomas McCabe, managing director and head of global transaction services DBS Bank says: “DBS is increasingly occupying a leadership role in Asia’s transaction banking industry. With the size, scale and rapid growth of our transaction banking business across Asia, it made sense for us to make a strategic decision to align ourselves with the leading transaction banking association.”

Kathleen Gowin, Baft-IFSA interim president and chief executive officer adds: “As one of the leading regional banks, DBS plays a significant role in transaction banking in the Asia region and brings a valuable perspective to our organisation. This alliance enhances the international voice of DBS within the industry and around the globe, allowing DBS to more effectively engage major stakeholders and address business and regulatory challenges.”
