Finnish export credit agency Finnvera has merged two units to form one SME financing division.

The ECA merged its domestic regional financing and financing for growth and internationalisation departments.
Heading up the new unit will be senior vice-president Annamarja Paloheimo.

Paloheimo has served as senior vice-president since 2006 and reports to Finnvera’s managing director Pauli Heikkilä.

Meanwhile, Merja Välimäki will assume the role of chief audit executive of Finnvera’s audit and assessment unit.

Välimäki has served as internal audit manager at the ECA since 2007 and reports to the board of directors.

Finally, executive vice-president Topi Vesteri will continue to answer for export financing while acting as the managing director’s first deputy.
