JBIC, the Japanese ECA, has led the lenders on a US$68mn debt package to the Indonesian government.

The loans are co-financed by BTMU and ANZ and will be used to purchase a fleet of trucks from Isuzu Motors, the Japanese automotive manufacturer. The 965 trucks will be used for general cargo purposes.

Nexi has provided insurance for the commercial portion of the debt. In a written statement, JBIC says the finance package will “contribute to the maintenance and improvement of international competitiveness of the Japanese automobile industry”.
