Cotecna, the international trade inspection group, has been awarded a contract by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) to provide consulting services to the Peruvian customs.

 

This two-year contract will cover consulting services on the purchase and complete implementation of a state-of-the-art container scanning control system at the Port of Callao in Lima. Services include recommendations on technical specifications, procedures and location, factory and on-site acceptances, implementation supervision, operation of the scanner, and training of local operators.

 

These services will be led by Cotecna’s office in Lima. Peruvian authorities will benefit from the extensive experience and expertise of the Cotecna Group, which is a recognised global leader in non-intrusive inspection technologies at ports and related training.

 

The project involves the installation of a relocatable scanner that will help Peruvian customs authorities inspect goods moving through the main port of Peru, Callao, Lima.
