Komgo appoints Pritchard-Smith as US head

Komgo has moved former UK country manager Alex Pritchard-Smith to Miami to head up the trade finance platform’s US office.

Pritchard-Smith began his new role as US country manager at the end of May “to strengthen Komgo’s senior presence in North America and accelerate the region’s growth”, a company spokesperson said.

Pritchard-Smith joined the company in 2021 as an account executive and became UK head in mid-2023.

He reports to Baptiste Audren, Komgo’s chief revenue officer.

“Alex has been instrumental in building Komgo’s presence in the UK, and we’re delighted to see him take on this new challenge in North America,” Audren said.

“The US market represents a significant growth opportunity for us, and having someone of Alex’s calibre on the ground in Miami will allow us to accelerate our momentum in the region and better serve our clients across the Americas.”

The move brings the number of commercial staff Komgo has in Miami to five. The office was launched in June 2024 and initially led by Michael Mandell, who departed for Trafigura at the end of last year.
