Enigio has brought in digital trade and working capital specialist Merisa Lee Gimpel as a consultant, to help drive adoption of the fintech’s flagship product.
Gimpel founded consultancy Digital Trade Works earlier this year after departing as Revolut’s first head of supply chain finance.
Under the arrangement, Gimpel tells GTR she will lead Enigio’s product engagement and aim to accelerate “acceptance, adoption and usage” of trace:original, Enigio’s digital trade document platform.
Banks, corporates and other fintechs use the platform for digital document solutions, such as creating and managing electronic bills of lading and digital negotiable instruments.
“We’re seeing accelerating interest from across the trade ecosystem – and we want to make it as easy as possible for every stakeholder to not only get started, but to scale,” says Enigio chief executive Patrik Zekkar.
“Merisa brings deep domain expertise, a clear sense of customer value, and the ability to turn insight into action. Her leadership will be key as we expand our footprint and help scale the usage of digital trade documents globally.”
Prior to joining Revolut last year, Gimpel held senior trade and working capital product development and innovation roles at Lloyds, and was previously Citi’s head of supply chain finance in Emea.
