Scotiabank has appointed Karl Klink as director trade finance sales to further strengthen its European global transaction banking (GTB) presence.

Klink joined the bank in March from Lloyds Bank, where he was looking after the oil and gas, consumer and specialist finance sectors. He has also worked at Citibank.

Commenting on his move Klink says: “Scotiabank has solid capabilities and great potential to use its global network to serve a very diverse European client base. With a focused trade finance offering in the areas we excel at, I believe we will be well set to cater to our client’s risk and working capital needs. Looking at Scotiabank’s increasing commitment in the GTB space and further growth plans this is a very exciting time to be part of the team and I look forward to developing our franchise in Europe”.

He is placed in London and reports to Pierre D’Avignon (vice-president trade finance sales, GTB).
