Willis Towers Watson has recruited Claire Simpson and Victoria Padfield within its political risk and trade credit team in London.

Both Simpson and Padfield held underwriting positions with Hiscox prior to joining the company.

Simpson, who’s new role will be as global claims director, has over 20 years of experience in the industry. She worked at Ernst & Young before joining Hiscox in 1998. In 2009 she was promoted to head of political risks and trade credit underwriting at Hiscox.

Padfield worked at Hiscox for nearly 30 years, underwriting all aspects of political and credit risk exposures.

Commenting on the new hires, chairman of financial services at Willis Towers Watson, Paul Davidson, says: “We are delighted to welcome Simpson and Padfield to our team. Their extensive knowledge and experience is a tremendous addition to our business.”
