HSBC has appointed Joel Van Dusen as global head of large corporates.

He will be involved in a wide range of areas including trade finance, credit and capital markets funding, advisory services, payments and cash management.

Van Dusen was previously global head of corporate banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he has spent the past 25 years.

He will continue to be based in London and report to Simon Cooper, who started his new role as group managing director and CEO of global commercial banking on October 1 this year.

Cooper comments: “Joel adds a wealth of experience to HSBC commercial banking’s leadership team, which will be invaluable as we invest in our relationship-driven service model for large corporate customers.”
