UniCredit has appointed Filippo Pappalardo as head of Americas multinationals, effective immediately.

Based in New York and reporting to Giovanni Ronca, head of corporate and investment banking Americas since 2014, Pappalardo is responsible for Americas multinationals across corporate and investment banking products, including debt capital markets and transaction banking such as accounts receivable financing.

He was previously responsible for retail, consumer and health care investment banking for US multinationals at the bank, and has an extensive background in mergers and acquisitions (M&As).

The announcement follows the strengthening of UniCredit’s international network, including the addition of desks focusing on debt capital markets, financial institutions and Latin America in the New York branch.

“The renewed focus on the Americas region and debt capital markets origination efforts allowed the team in New York to lead the recent corporate bond transactions of US issuers on the euro market, including Ford, IBM and McDonald’s, where UniCredit acted as active bookrunner,” the bank says in a statement.
