UK Export Finance (UKEF) has appointed Jem Eskenazi as its chief technology officer (CTO) to lead its technology offering to support UK exporters.

Eskenazi will be responsible for innovation and adoption of new technologies as the department looks to develops its digital support for exports.

The former information technology director for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) brings significant experience of digital innovation in the international finance industry.

Before joining the EBRD he held several chief information officer posts and undertook various non-executive director roles in a number of geographical regions and industries, including financial services.

Commenting on his new role, Eskenazi says: “UKEF provides competitive, innovative and flexible support for exports for firms of any size, in any sector. It therefore needs internal and external digital infrastructure that meets requirements as diverse and dynamic as the customers we support.”
