HSBC has appointed Mark Troutman to lead its new payments and cash management (PCM) corporate sales team.

Previously head of PCM sales for Asia Pacific, Troutman will move from Singapore to London to lead the newly-created team and develop PCM corporate sales across the large corporate, mid-market and business banking segments.

The new team is responsible for the strategic direction of sales for global banking clients, and includes HSBC’s consumer brands, retail and healthcare (CBRH) team, which Hans van den Bosch recently joined from his role as director of global treasury operations at Unilever.

Troutman has 25 years’ experience in working capital and transaction banking advisory services. Before joining HSBC, he held senior roles with JP Morgan and Bank of America in Asia and the USA.

Diane Reyes, group general manager and global head of PCM, says: “The creation of the PCM corporate sales team, and the new sales structure, allow us to bring clients deep expertise in payments and cash management enhanced by our understanding of the issues they face in their sectors every day. For the last three years Mark has successfully led the PCM sales team in Asia and I’m delighted to announce his promotion to the newly created global role.”
