UK-based trade finance provider Stenn International has hired Celine Hartmanshenn as its new global head of credit.

Hartmanshenn, who joins from AIG, will manage Stenn’s credit risk portfolio and will be based in both New York and London.

She brings over 25 years of management experience to her new role. At AIG she was the chief credit officer, leading its global credit function for the trade credit division with responsibility for the strategy, measurement and management of aggregated risks. Hartmanshenn began her career in export credit underwriting at Coface in France before taking on leadership positions at Coface North America, most recently as head of risk underwriting for the Americas.

“Celine’s expertise and experience in assessing credit risks will be a tremendous asset to Stenn as we expand our cross-border financing in new markets and to new clients,” says Stenn’s chair Gregory Karpovsky.

Hartmanshenn says she is “thrilled to join Stenn”, stating her intention to “grow the Stenn portfolio to serve an expanded number of exporters and buyers”.

Stenn also has offices in Los Angeles, Dallas, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chongqing.
