Italy’s Sace has appointed Alessandro Castellano, its former director-general, as the export credit agency’s new chief executive officer.

He was previously managing director and member of the management committee of Mediocredito Centrale. Before joining Mediocredito Centrale, Castellano worked at Morgan Grenfell in London, in the investment banking division, where he held responsibility for Southern Europe.

Giorgio Tellini, his predecessor, is still a member of Sace’s executive board
