Gulf International Bank has hired Louis Robinson as regional sales head in its global transaction banking department.

In his new role, Robinson will be responsible for growing the bank’s transaction banking business across the GCC region. He will also look to capture trade flows between the GCC and the bank’s European and North American clients through its London and New York offices.

Based in Dubai, he reports to Gurumurthy Palani, Gulf International Bank’s global head of transaction banking.

Robinson has more than 25 years of experience in transaction banking, most recently as a consultant at Emirates NBD. Before that, he spent five years with HSBC, his latest role as trade finance sales head for Mena and Turkey, and has previously worked for ABN Amro and RBS.
