Stuart Roberts has joined Citi as the global head of trade sales.

He joins the bank from Wells Fargo, where he held the position of head of supply chain finance until December 2012.

In his new role, based out of New York, Roberts will be responsible for driving the bank’s trade sales team in originating trade transactions from its client base. The bank explains that this will help its clients achieve their cross-border risk mitigation and working capital needs, utilizing Citi’s global network.

Before joining Wells Fargo, Roberts was with Citi in Toronto, San Francisco and New York. His final assignment with Citi was as North American trade sales head, a position held from 2005 to 2008.

He has also worked at HSBC and RBS.
